Location: Route 31, Perinton
Directions: From Interstate 490, take Route 31
(Pittsford-Palmyra Road) east. Pass Route 250. The parking area will be on the right
between Turk Hill Road and Hogan Road.

This trail is well-blazed and easy-to-follow. It goes through meadows and woods to a
high vantage point (elevation 714 feet) overlooking suburban Perinton and the Rochester
skyline in the distance. Follow blue blazes outbound and yellow blazes for the return.
Trail Directions
From the parking area, head straight (S), uphill, following blue blazes. At the
start of the trail youll quickly pass two trails to the left.
At 0.2 mile, pass a trail to the right. Continue straight (S).
At the field, turn right and continue on the blue trail into a narrow woods.
Exit the woods and cross a field heading south.
Reach the edge of the field at 0.3 mile. Turn left (E) and head downhill along the
edge of the field.
At a junction turn right (SE) on the yellow trail.
Pass an unmarked trail to the left.
Quickly reach a junction of three trails. Continue straight (S) on the trail marked
with both white and blue blazes. (To the left is the yellow trail. To the right is an
unmarked field trail.).
Cross a plank bridge at 0.5 mile.
The trail makes a big S curve.
Pass a trail to the right. (It leads to the unmarked field trail.)
At 0.6 mile, pass the red trail to the left. Continue straight (S) on the blue
trail.
The blue trail merges with the unmarked field trail.
Cross a gravel farm road at 0.6 mile, and continue straight (S) past a pond on your
left.
Follow the blue trail as it bends left at 0.8 mile.
Cross a small creek on a culvert.
As you emerge into a mowed field, watch for a sign saying Stop end of
Crescent Trail. Turn left (N) onto the yellow trail and walk along the edge of a
field.
At 1.0 mile, watch carefully as the yellow trail bears left (NW) away from the large
field.
The pond appears on your left.
At the farm road, turn right (E).
In a short distance, turn left (NE) into the woods. Head downhill on the yellow
trail.
Watch for the trail to turn right (E) at a plank bridge. (The red trail goes
straight.)
The trail turns left and crosses another plank bridge at 1.2 miles.
Follow the yellow blazes as the trail twists. Climb a steep hill.
Pass a trail to the left. (It is hard to see from this direction.)
At the T, turn right (N) to stay on yellow.
Pass the unmarked field trail to the left, then a trail to the right. Stay on the
well-trodden yellow trail, heading north.
At the junction with blue, bear right (N) and stay on yellow.
Follow the edge of a field as you head uphill.
Carefully follow the yellow blazes. (The trail will turn left, but you could easily
make a mistake and continue straight.)
Emerge into a field and the top of the hill at 1.6 miles. Be sure to pause and
enjoy the view.
Choose the middle trail (N) to stay on yellow.
Again, follow the yellow blazes carefully; youll pass a trail to the left.
At the intersection with the blue trail, continue straight, staying on yellow.
The trail bends sharply left at 1.9 miles.
Continue downhill to the parking area.
